About us

Lunatic Games is a game studio created by four university students; four best friends, all with a passion for game development. Based in beautiful British Columbia, we strive to give the world fun and innovative experiences that will leave a lasting impact.

We have participated in a handful of game jams including GMTK Game Jam 2021, and Ludum Dare 48. We also organize internal game jams to flex our creative muscles, and to give us opportunities to pursue new ideas. Sometimes these ideas develop, evolving into projects we are passionate about, and continue to work on. You can find a few on our games page!

Matthias

Matthias Harden

Matthias has always loved games, some of his earliest memories are from playing board games with his family. Throughout elementary and highschool he was creating small little games in Gamemaker Studio. He is a collector of games not only for the gameplay but to get his own hands on whatever mechanics they have to offer. Some of his favorite games are Darkest Dungeon, Mass Effect 2, Dungeon Defenders, and DOTA.

Noah

Noah Jacobsen

Noah's deep interest in games began when he was young, playing classic adventure games like Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Fable, and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge. In middle-school, he enrolled in a week long programming course using Gamemaker Studio; after this course he realized the posibilities. He continued pursuing his passion in highschool, further ironing his interest in game design. One of his greatest inspirations is Portal 2.
